Default Rear window help

Need a little insight on the the rear side windows. I removed them to tint the glass (removal is actually pretty simple to accomplish) but, have a bit of a problem. The nuts used inside the B pillars to keep the windows attached to the body, well, I dropped one on each side inside the B pillar and listened to it drop all the way to the bottom of the pillar.

As you know the pillar isn't open to the ground and before I rip apart the rest of the interior, does anyone have a recommendation on how to retrieve the nut's?

Hmmm... maybe a length of tubing connected to a vacuum of some sort?

That's not a half bad idea, just need to obtain the hose that is flexible yet rigid enough and clean out the old shop vac! I'll let you know what I come up with!

Perhaps one of those extending magnetic pick-up tools?

My first thought was a magnet too. But I figure it'll be necessary to reach down between various metal surfaces to get to the nut/bolt. So it would be difficult to control the magnet because it would be sticking to the other surfaces. It wouldn't be impossible, just a hassle.

But, if you use the vacuum method, you'll get not just the nut/bolt you're looking for, but any other garbage down in there too.

Okay, I wish I wouldn't post without checking the details first. LOL. After looking at the B pillar there isn't an opening large enough put any type of vacuum into the pillar. But take off the side cover and there it is a large access panel that provides plenty of room to put the old extendo magnet inside and retrieve the fallen nut.

Thanks for the replies and now we can archive this with how to get your nuts back.

I should probably have specified that I envisioned tubing much smaller than a typical vacuum hose. Something just big enough for the nut to pass through would be big enough.
