Default 18 CSL or 17 M3 Contours?

I need some help from guys here. Keep the current 18 CSL rims or go with 17 M3 Contours.

CSL rims are 18X8.5 all the way around and the M3 Contours are 17 staggered (7.5 front and 8.5 rear)

Here is a picture with the 17inch contours:

Wow, that’s really a tough call.....I love them both, but I’d probably keep the CSL's because they are quite unique on a Ti.....But, on the other hand, if you are worried about performance, I'd go with the Contours since they are smaller, and lighter, plus those CSLs must be a bitch to clean!

Default Thanks for the comments!

I like the way the CSLs look on the Ti and yes it is quite a challenge keeping them clean. However I took the ti to the track and used the 17s Contours and it performed much better than I tought.

I'll keep watching the poll. Thanks for everyone's input.

lol I will buy which ever ones you dont one. I love them both but I like CSLs much more. They are my absolute favorite rim. But you have to go what is best for you, if you do track keep the contours.

The CSL make me feel warm inside. I love those rims. I get all pumped everytime I see one driving down the road. Keep the CSL!!!

Contours FTW!

You can't beat OEM BMW. If you end up with the CSLs, I'll buy the Contours from you.

a bitch to clean?

f- that noise.............

if it works, it works. i go with what works best for me.
right now i've got 16x7.5 m5 replicas. they look great, and the 225 nitto 450 tires i've got handle rather amazing for the car. i'm thinking of getting another set in 17" with some high performance tires. multi spokes might spook some peeps..........

don't worry 'bout public opinion. you is you. simply put.

Thumbs up Thanks to everyone

Wow, I didn't expect that much response for the CSLs. Contours are still the winner. Keep it coming.

I drove a 1996 M3 with the contours today, it was a GREAT ride... o geeze.
We cleaned them also, just remember, as i saw them, it was EXTREMELY hard to clean them, even clean, they still had dirt in hard hard to reach places..
i'll get you a pic of them after they were cleaned if you want
