Is the light by the headlight and the foglight switch suppose to be on when the car in on acc or start? I replace the bulb yesterday and just now notice this. I dont know if thats how it should be. It doesn't light up when i put the parking lights on without starting the car, however it turns on immediately after i turn the key to the acc or run position. I just installed a foglight kit yesterday so i don't know if this has anything to do with it because i baught the factoy harness from bmw. the fogs work perfect just that i never notice these lights before because the bulb was blown. __________________  96ti M52 swap soon to come. Mine are on all the time when the key is switched ON. The light switch position doesn't matter. They probably made it this way so you can locate the switches when it's dark, and you have yet to turn any lights on. BMW did make them that way, i looked at the wiring diagram in the bentley manual and those light stay hot on acc, run and start. My lights are on all the time. Must have burned out the bulb. __________________

Mine are allways off until ill pull the switch. I have heard that it's light switch based configuration. Some switch has auto ON and some dont.
