I replace the bulb yesterday and just now notice this. I dont know if thats how it should be. It doesn't light up when i put the parking lights on without starting the car, however it turns on immediately after i turn the key to the acc or run position. I just installed a foglight kit yesterday so i don't know if this has anything to do with it because i baught the factoy harness from bmw. the fogs work perfect just that i never notice these lights before because the bulb was blown. __________________ 96ti M52 swap soon to come. The light switch position doesn't matter. They probably made it this way so you can locate the switches when it's dark, and you have yet to turn any lights on. Not that you don't already know where the switch is, but someone unfamiliar with the car might not. | | | 03-16-2007, 09:20 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: TAMARAC, Florida Posts: 191 | BMW did make them that way, i looked at the wiring diagram in the bentley manual and those light stay hot on acc, run and start. So its not a problem thats how its suppose to be. __________________ 96ti M52 swap soon to come. I have heard that it's light switch based configuration. Some switch has auto ON and some dont.
