I found this 99 in state. for 23k, I'd rather have an Imola Roadster/Coupe or Hellrot Zed Hatch but something about this combo is just different. S52B32 240hp. minor cosmetic mods...nothing Panzerized yet.(meaning nothing extreme) I like the interior...it reminds me of gum, chewing gum for some reason. I'm still keeping the Club Sport, just need a 2nd car for cruising long trips on, and the no A/C bone rattling Club is fun as hell..but going to say Spartenburg or Texas and back would suck. But I need something small, with a Sixer to play with. | | | 08-22-2006, 05:54 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Pismo Beach, CA Posts: 500 | I love the interior because it reminds me of my Philadelphia Eagles. Other than that the car looks like a real POS, shoulda bought a KIA or something Sweet car, looks like a #!&U load of fun. Is that an OEM color? Im partial to green, like the Fern Green E36 M3s, or hell even the Boston TIs __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 08-22-2006, 06:03 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | Evergreen. First local(In state) with the green/black interior. last one I saw in grun had a beige interior which I could never live with. I have not purchased it yet...kinda tossing around do I want to make car payments..that and I would like to have a nice downpayment if I were to get a loan on it. | | | 08-22-2006, 06:05 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Its the penis shaped car, I love this car!! | | | 08-22-2006, 06:07 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | I really want a Imola 98(No ASC+T on the 98s) with the red/black interior. but I could live with a 99. Also I just like the ease of the S52 over S54 engine. also the Coupe would be kept stock for the most part, maybe new wheels and some minor things..as the fun the mods would go for the Club to take. | | | 08-22-2006, 01:27 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Hinsdale, IL. I always wanted one but I kinda grew away from them. It would be a nice car but do you really want car payments? Car payments are what keep me away from buying an R32 or 07GTI. | | | 08-22-2006, 03:45 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | It is a different color fo sho and I like it too. I saw one on ebay exactly like yours 2 years ago for $11000 buy it now. It went in about 20 minutes. What other wheels look good on an M Coupe? __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 08-22-2006, 04:15 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | Always liked that style of Bimmer. It really was my first choice, but the prices were just a little (insert sarcasim here) out of my range when I bought my Ti. Still very happy with my pretty Ti though, so no complaints | | | 08-22-2006, 05:43 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Very nice. I will remember to always keep an eye open for a 98 though, and my favorite color is the dakar yellow....did they ever offer a 2-tone interior with the dakar?
