When you go to a car show and pop the hood it'll really look good. | | | 11-26-2012, 04:01 PM | #362 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Quote: Originally Posted by Breticus I'd keep it. I also ordered a nexus 7, so that project is officially a-go also you can see my retired stock seats, they make for great gaming chairs also, i have no idea what i am doing with this AV crap, so if anybody could drop some knowledge on the subject it would be much appreciated. most specifically speaker and amp combinations that will work with the sub (8 inch, 75 ams) and a tablet head unit __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term Last edited by Crashaddict; 11-29-2012 at 06:02 AM. | | | 12-02-2012, 06:05 AM | #365 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | preview of what my entertainment homescreen will look like. Are you putting it in the center stack? If so, where are you moving the HVAC controls? Are you doing all the work yourself?fiberglassing a new bezel? Are you hooking it directly to the car, or using Bluetooth?when it comes to av in car, I could usually care less, therefore I know very little about it. I do however feel that the estimate I got to do the fiberglassing and rearranging of the stack to be exorbitant" __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term Last edited by Crashaddict; 12-02-2012 at 07:42 PM. | | | 12-02-2012, 11:29 PM | #368 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Florida Posts: 404 | Thought of an idea for your piping. Maybe do a gradient of black or dark blue to mend the colors together? If you can't find a match that is. | | | 12-03-2012, 03:06 AM | #369 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Quote: Originally Posted by Breticus Thought of an idea for your piping. If you can't find a match that is. | I actually took the pipes to the powdercoater earlier this week, I got pretty close on a match to the old blue with a smooth texture, I don't mind the look of it, I considered lsb but bodymatched piping would be overdoing it. I thought long and hard about black, but decided against it as nothing else in the engine bay is black. Good suggestion. Needed to keep things moving though __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term Last edited by Crashaddict; 12-03-2012 at 04:00 AM. | | | 12-03-2012, 09:47 PM | #370 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Haha, picked up the intercooler piping today and innovative powder coating messed up the color again, it is now more of a navy blue(steep discount lol). Also, we got her cranking today, hopefully I can get a first startup video this week I will post pics when I get to my computer __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term Last edited by Crashaddict; 12-03-2012 at 09:50 PM. | | | 12-04-2012, 03:19 AM | #371 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2012 Location: Canada Posts: 3 | Quote: Originally Posted by Crashaddict Tried sending a pm, it didn't work so I will just ask here "How is that coming along? The main issue is going to be relocating the HVAC controls. I've been looking for longer bowden cables but haven't had much luck yet. The ones currently connected to the control module are too short to move anywhere else. I was thinking about relocating the controls to the angled part of the faceplate (at the bottom), in essence just tilting them down, but that doesn't look like it's possible. I'm all ears if you can come up with something, but it looks like I'll be making a panel to go over the current one (perhaps with a hinge). | | | 12-04-2012, 06:36 PM | #372 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | I want to scream, problem after problem after problem. I read alot of project treads on a motorcycle forum and this is probably the 5th or 6th time I've heard this since Thanksgiving. Power thru. I'm in a slump with a project as well. Just gonna nut up Friday night and get the next big step done. | | | 12-05-2012, 08:44 AM | #374 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | I'm not giving up by any means, but parts for this car are unobtainium, I have a feeling it is going to take forever, cost a fortune or both, I really feel defeated today, I wanted it to start so badly __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | 12-11-2012, 03:35 AM | #375 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Update:this part is proving difficult to find. I've had a few leads, but they were all dead ends. I tried calling Ray Crowd at Malloy Mazda, but he has yet to call me back. I'm considering calling him every hour on the hour and leaving a message that says "help me Obi Wan Kenobi™, you're my only hope" __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
