Default shake shake shake...

Hi!

I recently bought a 2003 318ti, done 99,000km in great condition, log book serviced.

Yesterday the car starting shaking every time am at low RPM (so driving slowly or idle).

I cant seem to shake it and the power seems to be lacking too.

Can anyone help? I will get it seen to, but i was hoping there might be an easy fix solution.

Cheers.

Here are a few ideas:

First, Change the spark plugs if you have not lately. Drive it if not good
Next look for a bad spark plug wire.

Also check for vacuum leaks although this would not likely affect power once you get in the upper rpm range it is good to find and eliminate these as they cause issues and ruff idle

Best, John S

Watch for a coolant or oil leak inside of the spark plug tubes. I had this problem the same week I put my 1997 Ti on the road after it had been siting
for a year prior to my purchase. The first tube was wet at the bottom around the plug and had a dried rust film half way up the spark plug boot. Cleaned it all out and it's been good since then. The leak hasn't re-occured either....which is weird.
