JUST KIDDING! Good luck with the purchase! | bastid Crossing my fingers, been looking for TI for a couple months, and this is exactly what i'd wanted. Minor cosmetics doesn't bother me, so that helps. Hoping the other guy didn't like the passenger side. | | | 04-24-2008, 02:52 AM | #33 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Yeah, it's definitely a fixer-upper. The OP has been very up front and honest about the car's condition. This type of deal doesn't come around very often. All of the difficult stuff has been performed and now it's only the final details that need to be addressed. Heck, you're picking up the whole car plus a few extras like the rollcage for the amount that it would cost to do a swap. Best of luck to you. If you do end up getting it, we'll be more than happy to help you sort things out. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 04-24-2008, 03:20 AM | #34 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Yeah, it's definitely a fixer-upper. I have no problem with fixing little stuff, and most of it being cosmetic, there's no rush. thanks for the kind words. been lurking on here for a while, definetely a good community. Very similar to the forum for my current truck (international scout), which i've been an active member to since I was 14. | | | 04-24-2008, 04:02 AM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | looks like I'm picking it up sunday sometime, or at least doing the paperwork. Post some pics! The church I grew up in used a Scout for plowing, hauling, etc. It was orange and white. Didn't realize they were 4 cyls though. Congrats. Edit: Someone on this forum was selling the interior door panels that match this very cheap. Do a search, it was prolly 2 months ago. I also have a black center console and shift surround I'd sell pretty cheap that would complete the look. If you're interested I'll send you a pic. Think it even has switches and an alarm LED in it. Also, consider getting the DDM twisty side skirts for $110. Also, check out this rare hellrot red Mtech bumper cover for $20 but be quick only a few hours left! The diffuser can be had from the dealer. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...QQcmdZViewItem __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 04-28-2008, 12:55 AM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | left a deposit on it today, goign to pick it up next weekend. Got to run up during the week and get the title, then register and insure it so I can drive it home, all the while keeping a close eye on the temp gauge. Ben was a great guy, VERY up front and honest. Thanks again Ben, it's going to a loving home | | | 04-28-2008, 12:59 AM | #39 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Cool. Great to have another ti on the site.
