Default Where'd my A/C go??

Ive looked through some of the threads on a/c problems and i seem to have most all that were stated. EX: drop in rpms at a stop, the weird noise it makes, squealing fan in 1st or 2nd fan speed. But i no one said anything about if it still blew cold air when they came to a stop. That is my extra problem... Im fine cruising around town and on the highway, but the second i stop, the ti turns into a mobile sauna. I got the a/c charged last summer bc i thought that was the problem.. I havent talked to my friend at Baron BMW.

Could it possibly be the compressor? or a fan??

I dont know if this could even be a factor, but could old vacuum lines cause a problem like this??

Any advice at all is welcome

EDIT: I looked through the Bible (bentley manual) and it said that there should be a TYPE 2 fan (9/92) and up infront of the radiator. I checked and i dont have any sort of fan infront. Does the ti not have one bc it there is not enough room. I know i have seen a fan infront of the radiators on e36 M3's.

I also have a problem with my ac. It was workign one day then a line in the front passenger side blew it has a pin hole leak or something but anyways before it broke sometimes like 95% of the time when i turned on my ac the rps's dould drop at usual then an annoying (grorooorro) sound would be heard I dont know if the compresser is bad or if i had air bubbles in the lind but i thing that in gonna get a new ac compressor and see if that fixes the problem becasue i need ac its summer in california and it gets really hot
