Default my 318ti seems to lock up if i drop the clutch at too high rpm's

hello there i am a new driver i am 16 and granted i have very little expierience and all i am still learning about my ti.

in my car i dont no if it is a problem or i am just doing somthing wrong but when i rev up the car and drop the clutch like in a race or like just trying to speed up fast and learning how to do it sometimes my car locks up. i mean i will rev it up and then drop the clutch and the car will just keep reving while in gear while the car isnt moving.
i will then switch to 2nd thinking the car will just shift in and work but it doesnt i have to basicly shift out into neutral and let my cars rpm's slow down and then it will work.

i dont no if it is my clutch or my tires have too much traction or something else in the car or like the gears being grinded down too much tht they dont catch i really dont no...also sometimes if i am beating on the car sometimes it will start to smell like i am burning up the clutch or burning tires or something granted i should take the car to go get looked at and i am going to once i get some money but
if there is someway to stop this occurance in the drop the clutch like turn the computer off or somthing any suggestions would be great even if it entails bringing it too a mechanic and telling them to look at one specific thing bc then i can have my friend do it with out them charging me an arm and a leg

replace your clutch, learn how to drive and stop beating on your car. Sounds like you're about to learn an expensive lesson.

Maybe, and this is just a suggestion...you shouldn't be revving it up and then dropping the clutch. That would most likely solve your problem. However, feel free to keep doing it so that you look "cool" and blow other people away with your 138hp. Learn to drive.

Your clutch is slipping and will probably need to be replaced soon. And that nasty toxic burning smell that you speak of, that's your clutch disc cooking.

until you learn how to drive i wouldnt recommend a new clutch...wait till the one you have now is done then get a new one and when you get a new one then you could look into a higher performance clutch

Just take it easy on the clutch and see if the problem gets worse. If it starts doing it on every take off, then yeah it's time to replace it. They do sell high performance clutches, but if you're on a stock motor producing stock horsepower, it's not necessary.

I second that, use the already burnt clutch to learn a standard on, then once you've got it all down, buy a new one

No worries dude, if it really bothers you, you could also let someone else drive the car and get their opinion. If it's the original clutch, it's probably due to be replaced soon, but who knows, you might be able to stretch it out for a few thousand more miles. FWIW, My dad got his Nissan Frontier stuck in some mud last year. I pulled him out with my Ti and yeah, my clutch smelled awful for a couple of days after that.

Or, even worse, it is the 800$ dual mass flywheel cooking...

You destroyed your clutch, simple as that. No need to buy a "performance" clutch if you drive your car properly and not abuse it. If you look around, many 318 owners have gotten over 200,000 miles on their stock clutch. A mailer to Roundel recently had over 300,000 miles on his stock 318ti clutch.
