I found 4-5 listings on Auto Trader around where I live (Arizona), but they are ALL already sold. I guess I'll just have to wait until another one goes up for sale. These cars are hard to come by. Anyone know where I can find one? | | | 08-25-2004, 10:04 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Wilmington, NC Posts: 641 | from what youve said, all I can say is wait. Or possibly ebay.... __________________ 18'' Ace Wheels • Pirelli P7000 SS Tires • Bosal Brospeed Exhaust • B&M Short Throw Kit • H&R Sport Springs • Euro Clears • cat delete • Rogue Engineering Clutch Stop • Modded Airbox • blacked out kidney grilles • Suede Headliner/A Pillars S52 CONVERSION UNDERWAY | | | 08-25-2004, 10:47 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | yeah...just wait...they are kind of a rare car...you see a lot less TIs then you do civics or camrys...when i was looking for my car there was only 1 TI in my area. though at the time i wasnt specifically looking for a TI, but it was the cheapest one and had the best kept records etc...and now i love it! __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | 08-25-2004, 11:03 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: Marion, IA Posts: 388 | I think they only made about 20,000 in 5 years in the US, they are a little hard to find. | | | 08-27-2004, 10:19 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: san diego Posts: 18 | Its pretty hard to find one actually in your area. I would suggest looking them up on autotrader then taking some road trips to go see them. You can also have mechanics in that area check a car for you before you go. I took a greyhound to tennesee (from ohio) to get mine. | | | 09-07-2004, 02:48 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 33 | everything's for sale at my house...for the right price. | | | 09-07-2004, 04:34 PM | #7 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Why do you want one so bad? | | | 09-07-2004, 05:43 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Ohio Posts: 183 | Did they really only bring over 20,000 of them over 5 years here in the states...I thought I read somewhere that it was more like 300,000? I hope it is only 20,000 that makes it even a more rare car over here. I have only seen about 6 or seven in the past 5 years I owned mine. I have seen 2 in the town I live in, in Ohio. A couple on road trips and another one up in Sandusky, Ohio(that is where Cedar Point is, if anyone is familiar). __________________ DannyBoy 1997 318tiA Sport, 99,500 miles, All original except for APC Super White Bulbs. | | | 09-07-2004, 09:54 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Green Bay Posts: 30 | Too bad you are so far away! There is a nice, clean TI sitting here in Green Bay Wisconsin for sale. Think of it like this, arrange your trip around the Packers schedule, and you might actually get in a game!
