This has been a very informative thread for me. Thanks for the schooling!

I am in this very stage of learning my TI, so keep asking questions Caliburnes!

Do those give sign of wearing out? The chain guides I mean or is there a recomended replacement time?

Also I just got done gluing the door panel risers for the push pins to attach to the door, back on both panels I just bought. So I will have fun tomorrow installing the door panels and attaching the noise deadening foam. I will get some new "glue" for that and then have new door panels that are black to replace the busted grey ones. And then hach shocks tocause the head can only hold the hatch up for so long. I'm gonna go with the chevy blazer ones for 20 each from a local parts store.

If the guides wear out, you'll be able to hear it. I don't really know if they have a life expectancy or recommended replacement interval. Don't get too far ahead of yourself, lol trust me, you don't want to mess with the timing cover if you don't have to.
