I couldn't avoid it completely as I would swerve out of control plus I didn't swerve too much cause I would rather have front end damage than side. I hear a bang and look down as I'm driving... OMG...a frigging rod protruding right next to my leg. Yes.. the rod went through the base of the car and ended right next to my ankle. This thing could have killed me! Luckilly I hit it just perfect to avoid radiator damage and I didn't damage the side of the car or blow the tire which really could have been bad. Anyway, I took the rod out the hole... It's a 3.5 foot rod over 1/2 an inch square of pure metal (not hollow) I'm sure it's a broken part of something that hold's temporary highway signs up. DAMAGES> (I won't claim, as I have a $1000 deductible) The front bumper fibreglass is chipped, I would rather stick to the OEM bumper and I will get it repaired and painted. One of the fog lights (//M) is lost and M3 air duct>no biggie. Problem is, the fog light clip and housing is lost. Where can I get the part? I looked at realOEM but no luck..Please help. Considering the size and weight of the rod, I actually feel quite lucky to get away with such little damage. | | | 05-06-2009, 08:01 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | Whoa....
