Default cheap mufflers?

Has anyone ever put a fart can or glasspack on their ti? If anyone is wondering, I am looking for the loud raspy ricer civic sound (gimme a break, I'm only 17) I don't have much money so I am looking for something under $100 and I am deathly afraid on eBay.

Please keep your ti's exhaust deep and throaty. Go to a local muffler shop and buy one of their generic muffler or try the Magnaflow brand. Lots of bimmer people has used Magnaflow with success. Check on youtube for some videos!

I'll second this one. I've run magnaflows on a few of my BMW's including my last race car. Nice sound for not so much money.

Magnaflow mufflers are relatively inexpensive and sound as good if not better than most expensive catback systems ie; supersprint, stromung, remus. I was looking at this muffler, but I'm not too concerned because I might be doing a swap soon:

I was looking at This one. Basically the same thing except straight cut instead of angle.

Another question. Has anyone removed their cat and either straight piped it or replaced it with a glasspack? I want to make my exhaust louder and more throaty and I was wondering if this made a difference.

sure several/many have straight piped their exhausts. You will get a fault code and CEL and it will be insanely loud not to mention pollute your Green State. Still wanna do it? Just get your muffler and see if you can only be semi obnoxious instead of full on embarrasing.

Sorry to come out swinging on this one but to me it is clear folly.

Why don't you just cut the exhaust piping right after the O2 sensor? It will be really cheap, and plenty obnoxious. As you are not concerned about keeping the car legal or sounding less than obnoxious just get rid of the exhaust/cat completely.
