Hi guys,

Just thought I'd say Hi. Currently stuck in an airport due to snow, so trying to keep myself occupied

I'm in the process of trying to find a RHD 318ti in Japan, which isn't hard, but compared to the prices in the UK (where i'm originally from) a 318ti is pretty expensive out here. European/Luxury car image tax fully applied.

Only trouble is I cannot find ANY manual transmission cars, so i'm probably having to buy an auto and do a tranny swap myself. Hoping Z3 manual is all the same as I found a complete transmission swap with pedals, prop shaft, box, flywheel, clutch...everything for about $800

Plans with the car are M52 swap for track use, then future upgrade to turbo/supercharger when I can afford it.

Have been drifting, racing and rallying for years and this car will be an all rounder. Firstly I want to do some trackdays out here, but I want it legal for D1SL drifting championship.

If any of you are interested, heres a video of me drifting, and another of me rallying. I still own an Evo 4 RS rally car in Japan.

As soon as I purchase the car, I'll start up some kinda project diary and keep y'all informed. Should be cool having a quick compact in a country where they are super rare. Gonna turn some heads!

Nice to be here.

James
