Default Rear Sub Frame Bushing question

In preparation for an upcoming DE I was bleeding brake fluid and noticed this.
My left rear sub frame bushing has a rubber piece torn on the bottom.
My right rear sub frame bushing has that same bottom rubber portion cracked.

I'm guessing this might be contributing to excessive inside tire wear (in addition to the car being lowered)

How critical is this? I want to replace them but would rather wait until my first DE of the new year.

Time for solids! Haha. They are a PITA to put in. I'd put in poly trailing arm bushings while your at it.

They are polyurethane.

Solid as in all metal? Wouldn't that make it even more twitchy?
I really need an M Coupe subframe but the labor will kill me.

I probably will go back to stock when I replace them.

I'm just concerned if it's safe to track the car this way.

If those are IE greens there was a bad batch they sold which disintegrates like yours are. There is a thread about it in the bf.c z3 forum with pictures. I think IE was sending out replacements because they had acknowledged the issue and were working with people to resolve it.

I've had them for sometime now. I think they where green.

Problem is I'm going away Aug 13 and won' t be back until Aug 21 and heading to VIR Aug 24. I need to resolve what I am going to do fast.
If I can track the car as is, I'll wait until I have more time to tie up the car.

Found the thread. I PM'd him to see if they'd replace it for free.
I may just leave my car at the shop when I'm gone and hope that it's all together when I get back.

I have a pile of crumbs under my car now.
They are getting replaced with race bushings and maybe RTABs if they need to be replaced.

Funny, when I emailed Jeff Ireland his comment was "We did not have a period of defective mounts!" Yea, OK.

I had them since 2005. Maybe they where bad, maybe just old? I'm not going to argue with him about it. I'll still buy from him.

I know. I could ask 12 people and I'll get 12 opinions.
The suggestions have ranged from stock to solid aluminum.

Hah well AKG has all of those options. Im not saying what type you should stick back there, just saying that AKG has a range of products that are reliable.

I know what you're saying.
We can go on which brake pad to buy too.

FWIW, I bought Ireland greens a couple of weeks ago, and I asked about the bad run of bushings. Fellow on the phone said that they had the bad batch quite a while ago which happened because the ingredients that go into the urethane weren't in the right ratio and that this caused premature failures. Also said that everything is OK now. Sounded legit to me, so I bought them, along with RTABs.

Yea. I think I had the one of the bad batches although the owner said.

He did offer to look at pictures. I wasn't going to argue the point. Mine where 7 years old.
