We do have a calendar on here, but I don't know if you can add reminders to events or not. I usually put everything into the calendar on my cell phone. I never know which 'next saturday' we are talking about. I would like us all to start our meet threads with MHti, include the day of the week and date in the subject, and don't talk about another event on the thread without a date. As for the calender, I'm not sure I'll use it if it is not on this site. | | | 05-01-2008, 03:09 AM | #8 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | let me look thru what google calendars can do for us (thanks aceyx for the link to the info, very helpful) and go from there. i would also like the calendar viewable or linked from ti.org, but i'd like to be able to add the events to my personal google calendar (by they way justin, there might be a way for you to sync your cell to google calendar, if you're even interested in such a thing). if google calendar looks like a good fit, i'll work with steven to move forward on it. btw, if you do an event thread on here, you can have the site email you a reminder. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-01-2008, 04:13 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | I usually write down the dates on a piece of paper and then just write it on my calender in my room or school planner. But if we can get a calender like eric is talking about that would be good too. | | | 05-01-2008, 08:21 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Quote: Originally Posted by cali-ti i would also like the calendar viewable or linked from ti.org, but i'd like to be able to add the events to my personal google calendar (by they way justin, there might be a way for you to sync your cell to google calendar, if you're even interested in such a thing). | There is, but it has to go through outlook first. Fortunately though, most phones will sync with outlook. Basically gCal -> Outlook -> phone software -> phone. As far as viewing a separate calendar in your own, that's easy. And, far easier for everyone else since you can share the entire calendar instead of single events that people will have to update if they use gCal or sync it with their Outlook. On the left above "My Calendars" use the "Add" dropdown. It will show up as a different color. You can toggle between the two and if you have permissions on both add to each one without switching accounts. It works pretty much like Outlook with google instead of an Exchange server. The way I would do it is set up a new account, share it, get the calendar address under details then add it to your own. Then, give specific permissions to people to modify it. This is far easier than managing the events in your own calendar unless you're good at remembering which events are public and which are private; nobody wants to know about the reminder for your urologist appointment--trust me on that one. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
