DASC lubricant - Conflicting information

I recently acquired a 97 with a DASC and the SC is a little noisier than it should be at low speeds. It sounds great in the 3000-4500 rpm range but sounds like a bad power steering pump at low rpm.

The Induction FAQ threads say that this Eaton SC requires no maintenance but, I have seen a few posts where people say that they have changed to oil in the SC.

What is the deal? Does the SC lube need to be changed? Does anyone have a how to thread?

If it's making noise it's got an issue. Could be bearings. IIRC the fluid is synthetic 5 or 10W30.

Or it's something you can get at a dealer....
