Default Help! Suspension Noise

I have a 95 318ti Active with 135K miles and I replaced the original front struts with Bilstein HDs, as well as rear Bilstein HDs last August. Included rear shock mounts, gaskets, shock tower bracing, reinforcements, spring pads, as well as new control arms with new bushings. All purchased from BavAuto. New tires as well with front end alignment. Ever since I have had a noise like a loud rubber rubbing sound and creaking when turning and/or going over small and large bumps. Gotten suggestion to unhook the brake cables (didn't help) off the strut. BavAuto said it was unlikely the struts. The car rides fine, just noisy. Any suggestions from the guru's out there before I pull it apart and replace one strut at a time with the old struts?

Thanks

Front noise or rear noise? Are the front springs seated correctly in the spring perches? Swaybar endlinks look ok?

Check the condition of your front and rear swaybar endlinks. I did the same suspension swap you did, and the noise I got afterward was the old endlinks.

Noise is mostly in the front, but I believe I hear it also in the rear. I will check the sway bar end links. Does anyone have a diagram of these particular parts and locations? Thanks

Part #5 on the rear >> http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...64&hg=33&fg=45

and part #5 on the front >> http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...20&hg=31&fg=10

Front swaybar endlinks attach to the control arms (which are part #3 here >> http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...42&hg=31&fg=05)

Rear swaybar is near the spare tire, it should be a black metal bar running from one side of your car to the other.

Yeah, it is a bushing that may have deteriorated, check that out too.

Visually everything looks OK with the sway bar end links. I also loosened up the wires and cables that go around the front struts and still have the noise. Should the cables go around the front of the strut from the rear or just stay in the rear? I will go ahead and order some end links. BTW- does the oxygen sensor require a special tool to remove and reinstall? Thanks
