Default ignition barrell
So, I replaced the ignition tumbler on my 1995 318ti. After I got the new one installed it would not start. It would crank and crank, but just wouldnt start. I am wondering if a bad ignition barrell would cause this to happen. Im not sure if it is the problem but after reading lots online, it soulds like a bad ignition barrell would cause the car not to start. Im not sure if it would still turn over if it was bad. Anyone have any advise or have this problem before. The key matches the tumbler so iI know that is good. Also, if this is a possible problem how easy it would be to install on my own

I agree; asuming it worked fine before the barrel was changed...

Possibly a broken wire on the ring too, if it is plugged in.
