I assume a nice thick bead of silicone around the edges and anywhere else water might get in would keep it from coming back once I get it out but I need to get rid of it first btw, yes, I do have the cheap "made in taiwan" turn signals, I realize the quality is sh!t, there's no need to repeat that, okay? | | | 05-07-2008, 12:19 AM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak I just noticed today that one of my turn signals has water inside the lens does anyone know how to get it out? And lastly.....take the freaking neon out of there and it should solve the problem! | | | 05-07-2008, 12:24 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Lazoh, I think you're right, when I changed the bulbs to the stealth bulbs I did have trouble getting my hand into the area behind the signal because of my washer fluid reservoir, and that was on the side that I now have water in, thanks, I'll have to check that out | | | 05-07-2008, 12:34 AM | #4 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak Lazoh, I think you're right, when I changed the bulbs to the stealth bulbs I did have trouble getting my hand into the area behind the signal because of my washer fluid reservoir, and that was on the side that I now have water in, thanks, I'll have to check that out | Anytime and take the corner out, drain the water and before you snap it in make sure the bulb socket snaps in place good!!! Putting water in your washer fluid reservoir. If you'd put something else there, you wouldn't have water in your lights now would you? | | | 05-07-2008, 12:21 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Posts: 379 | I think the problem started from your front mesh. | | | 05-07-2008, 03:04 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | yeah it is a CRAMPPED! little area __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 05-07-2008, 06:50 PM | #8 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | littering annnd... littering annnd... Another option is you can use those little white packets of Silica Gel from shoe or dry goods to absorb moisture out of interior, signal, headlight, tail lights etc. | | | 05-08-2008, 08:09 PM | #15 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | come on guys!! Give the guy a break, so he likes to sing "puff the magic dragon" song! The blow dryer should be the quickest and best to get that water out. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
