How wide of wheel can we fit on the ti in the rear? I found some 17" M3 wheels for sale that are staggered 7.5 in front and 8.5 in back, but I don't want to do get them and find out the rear is to wide. I've tried to do some research on the offset of the wheels, but have turned up empty handed. I'm pretty sure I have seen some cars on the forum with the wheels i'm looking at. The factory literature says no-go, but I have 'staggered' M3 wheels on mine with no problems (aside from the huge rear tire (275 wide) rubbing.
If you go with a 225/40 front and 245/40 rear, you should be fine.
Those wheels shown are for thre E46 arent they? If so, I can't verify they will work properly, as the offset may be different. My quarters are rolled- not a big deal at all. Just touch-up the paint and seam seal everything to stop rust. I didn't like how the rims and tire's stuck out when i first put them on (it looked like a hotwheels car) so Mike at Sports and Imports in Norfolk Va. suggested the swap to me. I did the E30 swap and sence then I havent noticed any rub on the inside or outside. How much was it for you guys to get your quarters rolled? It attached to my hub and it has a urithane wheel that flatens the inner lip as it passes back and forth. It didn't even chip my paint. Nice and clean finish. I did the majority of the roll with the BMFH with no cracking, but when I went back for more, I did some paint damage... For the number of quaters I roll, I couldn't justify the ~$400.00 for a roller. I suppose if there was a bunch of guys who wantd their quaters rolled, I could charge $50-$100 per car and do a bunch at once to offset the cost... Any takers? | | | | | |
