Summer's coming up and my car needs a new set of wheels. Ive narrowed it down to 2 rims but dont know which ones to get. I either want some style 5's, or i want kosei k1's. Theres also the idea of ASA ar2's in the back of my mind, but i doubt id get them. Help me decide! __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 04-01-2007, 08:03 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lincoln Park Capitol Hill, Washington DC Posts: 741 | KOSEI K1s hands down I'm also saving up for those. They only weigh 15lbs for the 16s and 16.8 lbs for the 17s. Most serious autocrossers and track M3s wear those wheels. Jap made and durable. I voted style 5's, but if you really want to be cool like me, style 42's FTMFW!!! The wheels on 1LoudTI's LSB look pretty nice and they're a similar style to the Kosei's: But the style 5's IMO are one of the best looking wheels on any bimmer. | | | 04-01-2007, 09:24 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Daaang Blue, you got some mad photoshop skills. That's why I vote style 5's with fitment for the 5 series. It's a classic sporty look and with a polished lip, they will really set the car off. | | | 04-01-2007, 09:37 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Same here, i like the look they give. How big is the lip on the style 42's? Wider or less wide than the style 5's? __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 04-01-2007, 09:49 PM | #10 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma How big is the lip on the style 42's? I plan to get the e46 328 front brakes for my ti with EBC racing pads and zimmerman/brembo cross drilled rotors for aesthetics. I think they would fit perfectly in those style 42's compared to the style 5's. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 04-01-2007, 10:06 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 04-01-2007, 10:08 PM | #14 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | I've had style 42's on 3 of the 4 e36's I've owned. I guess I'm a fanatic. My Avus 318ti had M Contours, but I sold it before I had the chance to buy another set of 42's. I'd probably trade these for a set of style 5's if I had the chance, but ultimately I'd like to have both sets and alternate between the two. Sibals rims must have cost a fortune considering that they are mag racing rims. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
