Default Wht's it Worth? Running TI, Good AC, failed Clearcoat

Hi All,

I'm new to his forum and considering picking up this TI that I found. Its very dirty, interior is dirty, front seat has a torn bolster, clearcoat has failed, but is supposed to be mechanically sound. It's a 95 "active" with 5 speed manual, cruise, sunroof, 200k miles. AC has been worked on lately and works, service up to date, new battery but tires are shot.

What is this thing worth? Photo attached.

Am considering picking it up for fun (analog BMWs are going away), but want to make sure I can resell it to someone and not take a loss, so finding out about what that # is. i didn't realize how cheap these are even in good shape. They seem like a steal! thank you for all help and apologies if this is the wrong subcategory.

I paid $200 for mine last summer and it looked better than that. No cruise or sunroof though, and I literally pulled it out of a barn after sitting for 5 years. Had to buy new rims and tires and clean it up. But if I get it where I want it I wouldn't take less than 5k when I'm all done.

Thanks, sounds like you got a great deal as a barn find and I definitely posted the worst angle of this one.

Still, not sure you've answered my question -- If I were to post it here, another forum or craigslist and its a good runner, what do you think a good running 318TI is worth??

anyone else have an opinion?

Thanks!

From that one picture, the high mileage, dirty interior, broken taillight, and no information about the specifics of maintenance (when was cooling system done? engine compression? when was suspension maintenance done? etc.) $500-1500

Personally, I would not want to pay more than $1000, because I'd want to do a lot of work on it to get it where I want it to be.
