The oil check feature... is NOT the reason to have a 1... ha ha ha

Well I have wanted a 1 series pretty much since they were announced but besides the money the new electronics through me off a bit. However, now the oil thing seems a little less troublesome.

One final word.. you have to drive around for about 10 mins to get a reading....

did you test drive a 135i before getting the 128i?
I can't decide on a 128 or 135 obviously different engines..

128I: +better mileage, more fun revving thru the gears/using it's power band,
better front/rear weight distribution and a bit lighter.
- limited performance mods, not 300HP (230HP ain't bad)

135i: + 300HP
- long term reliability, HPFP, lower MPG

Yes. I drove both. Coming from the Ti. 230 horses is really plenty.

Both are great cars.

that makes sense. I hope all this new electrical stuff holds out in 30 yrs from now. look at a e30. imagine a 1 series 25 years from now.
