My valve works perfectly on my car, so the air pump I have for sale should be perfect. | Anytime you turbo anything or work on it to make it faster it seems it is nothing but problems. Anymore I just replace stuff when broke and thats it. My buddy had a little import shop and I learned first hand that if you fix up your car all it does is cause problems. | | | 09-20-2006, 07:11 PM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Southern California Posts: 456 | Quote: Originally Posted by FATHER Hey dustent is posible to remove the checkengine bulb with out ecu issues, my mechanic not recomend to remove it , so i paint it on black, | paint it? horrible! I know what codes to expect, so it's easy to tell if something new pops up. It's really not a big deal to me. I also have an airbag light and transmission light on. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 09-20-2006, 07:20 PM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 885 | Dustent you can remove the tranny ligth without issue, i do that because i hate the ligths when i drive in the nigth. __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 09-20-2006, 07:22 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Indianapolis, IN Posts: 228 | Okay, now that we've spun appreciably off topic I have another question about the CEL. If it's on does our engine run in "default mode" or something where I lose performance and/or gas mileage and/or something else? | | | 09-20-2006, 07:39 PM | #37 | doesn't care about you. I pulled the cats just to find out it was the boot from the coil to the plug. CEL's help some people. If i didnt have it my car would still be misfiring because all of the rubber boots were in good condition and I thought they worked fine. But it WAS the problem My old bronco's CEL didnt work. The distributor module went bad and I spent 3 days replacing parts cause I had no scan tools, and no way to tell what was up. __________________ SPEED IS NOT AN EQUATION CONSISTING OF DISTANCE DIVIDED BY TIME. The easiest way to do this is to remove the rubber hose the goes to the pump when the car is HOT. If you feel exhaust coming OUT the valve, you'll need to replace it. With no vacuum on the valve, it is closed. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 09-21-2006, 04:31 PM | #43 | Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Oak Harbor, Wa Posts: 69 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT You'll want to check the valve too. #15 in the attached picture.
