Default yr 2000+ 318ti E/46 anyone??

Hi, i was wondering if anyone in here has a 318ti from the year 2000 and above, if so what mods have you done to them if any, what do you think about the car and how would you rate it.
I myself just bought a 2003 318ti E46/5 four days ago got to drive it for one day and had to send it back to the car yard to get some minor repairs done to it.
Cant wait to get it back im suffering like you wouldn't beleive.
I will share my thoughts on the car with you as soon as i get to drive it for more than a day, its the first bmw I've ever owned and i knew nothing about them prior to my purchase, but i can allready tell you i love them dearly.

there's a few with them, most members here have the E36 ti's because this is a mostly US forum and the E46 wasn't ever sold here

I personally like them, only thing I don't like is the multi-piece headlights

I hear sometime in 2010-2011, they're gonna release a hatchback.

lack of interest, at the time most Americans didn't want a fuel-efficiency European hatchback

BMW NA doesn't think Americans want hatchbacks. Fact is, more E36 hatchbacks where sold than cabrios.
And let's not forget that other hatchback, The Mini.
And how can they say hatchbacks don't sell?
I think the fact was that they couldn't make as much money on them.

Semi-tangential: OK, so this is probably farfetched, but would it be possible to find an e46 ti elsewhere and import it into the US at all? Maybe from Canada, or Mexico? Of course an Australian or British one would be nice, but the steering wheel's on the "wrong" side... But seriously, could it be done reasonably?

Nah, it's on the right side.. It's you lot that has them on the wrong side

Don't like the E46 compact - lights look too much like they're from a Rover for my liking. If they were normal E46 lights it would look good.
