In regard to the Wings West spoiler, It's probabaly just a mistake. The 95 ti's were the same, so they probabaly just have their dates wrong.

Yeah, that's one of my favorites. Are you going to paint it or stain it?

been looking for a plain simple rear lip spoiler to add to my beemer but aint seen any nice ones, only racing dynamics job which i cant seem to source

anyway any body know if it will fit?

if it does i would expect that i could order it direct from BMW!

the spolier itself look pretty similiar to this.......but not so plastic'eeee:
Attachment 1760
found this on ebay by the way!

I got mine at the SpoilerDepot.com --http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog.asp?idModel=137&idB=

picture in my photo gallery

The install is time a little consuming considering it is only 4 screws to tighten. Some supports inside the hatch have to have a hole drilled through them to access mounting screws with a screwdriver.

You did the install yourself!

I was looking at a simple spoiler that just glues on - but i've bought a screw in one (4 bolts)

Can you give me a write up of the install?

I'm stuck on removing the trim from the inside of the bootlid/hatchback

Lining up the spoiler and drilling the holes is explained in the kit directions. I do not know if the way I did it is the best way but I went over it a hundred times and I could not see any other way of accomplishing it. Removing the rear hatch panel is not necessary but if you drop a screw you will need to take it off to retrieve it.

I had to drill two access holes a side with a 5/8 bit for a total of 4 holes:

1) Before attaching the spoiler measure within a 1/16 of an inch the distance between the mounting holes (Front to Back). You must use this to measure the distance to the 2nd access hole from where the rear hatches rubber stops will be removed.

1) Remove the rubber stops on both sides of the hatch. These holes line up almost perfect with the mounting holes closest to the rear window but there is a sheet metal support in the way that must be drilled big enough to get a screwdriver and the head of the mounting screw through. (5/8 bit provides just enough room). I would suggest drilling a pilot hole with a much smaller bit so when you drill the larger hole in the support it will line up with the holes you drilled for mounting the spoiler.

2) Drill the second access hole so it lines up exactly with the hole furthest to the rear of the car. Again I would suggest drilling a pilot hole with a much smaller bit first. There are 2 layers to drill through the inside of the hatch and the same metal support you drilled through to gain access to the first hole.

3) Have a new screw drive so the head of the screw stays snug on the screw driver when guiding it through the access whole you drilled.

4) Get all the screws in then tighten once the spoiler’s weather stripping is in place.

5) replace the factory rubber stops and NAPA Auto Parts sells 5/8 rubber plugs to cover the other holes

It took me about an hour to install once I decided on how I was going to do it. Please be aware I am not a mechanic so there might be a better way of doing it but it has to be better than gluing something on your car. I know those adhesives are strong but I look at it like putting duct tape on a car.

Good Luck

It will look cool
