Default what is this?

there are 2 hoses a blue hose and a black hose that connect to an 8 inch or so long cylindrical canister in the engine bay i bought a junk ti with the motor mostly pulled apart got the ret of it out with the harness and now im searching for what is missing etc and what certain things are. please excuse me if this is a stupid question it has been a long day. btw this will be an s50 swap car.
