Default Whats up for the 4th of July people?

What's everyone doing for the 4th of July? Anyone having any parties or are you guys just going to some friends parties/cookouts? Well i'm working monday but after work i plan on drinking some Sam Adams & eat some good grub and well party it up. They have Rent-A-Cops at our gate so if you don't live there you don't get in unless you are on the list to get in. Got a letter in the mail stating they are only letting 1200 guests through the gates and not one over. One guy told me to stop by his house for some drinks and watch some bands play, guess they are going to block off the street and put the band out there. Most of the partying is done on the 3rd down by me and on the 4th there is some fireworks but more on the 3rd. Only downside is once i go home i can't leave, you can't even drive a car down the street with all the cars parked everywhere. Last year people had to park at the gates and walk to there houses which is kind of nutz. Anyway party on..........

This weekend I'm heading up to a camping resort in upstate NY. Going right after I finish bartending Friday, and staying till about Sunday afternoon. This years plan calls for several kegs as well as a large number of fireworks.

Monday I have work at my two jobs, then I'm out to drink again. Not sure where yet, but there will be fireworks involved.

Let's see...
July 2 - work - 12 hours
July 3 - work - 12 hours
July 4 - work - 12 hours
July 5 - work - probably not more than 8 hours

Luckily this is all related to the symphony performance and fireworks show here in Nashville. So, I get to be directly across the river from where the fireworks are launched. Fireworks are so much better when you can FEEL the concussion. :-D

I know what you mean... I did a job in Raven's stadium in Baltimore.. I was under the fireworks and had a ton of ash falling on me the entire time.

I once almost went for my explosives license.. I may yet.

Can't say I am jealous of your work schedule. I'll be boozing it up and eating some quality BBQ at a few different friends houses.
