Default Rear hatch latch body cracks

I've seen this on a number if ti's... The sheet metal if the hatch where the latch mounts cracks snd eventually the latch won't hold position and can eventually fall out. Has anyone heard if a repair/reinforcement kit or procedure has been invented?
