Steve | Pump i have, belt i dont think is good, wires and coil packs i have, vacuum hoses are usually best bought new unless youre looking for a bmw specific molded one, i should have a few of each kind laying around. Ill be in the garage this weekend, cleaning and figuring what needs to go and what stays for my two tis. Quote: Originally Posted by unterseeboot Any luck on that shipping quote for the head? Head will be 175 shipped, would still need to be removed. Im not pulling cams unless absolutely needed, so theyd still be attached if i can make it work. Engine, i just brought home a very nice engine crate stand, not too sure on the shipping cost but ~200 for shipping. The one that everyone refers to when their car doesn't start? The one in the engine bay? The one that the shop suspects because the motor isn't getting any spark? __________________ McLaren F1 - BMW M Power S70/2 | | | 10-12-2011, 01:49 AM | #25 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Erie, Michigan USA Posts: 46 | Sorry, I missed your reply. Also, how competent is the shop? How sure are they about it just being a "relay' issue? __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 10-12-2011, 04:03 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma I assume you mean the DME relay? Anyway, I had the engine shipped and it took him a few weeks to get it installed. During that time it sat outside and it rained a lot this season as we all know! Once the engine got installed, he said that it will not start, that it won't get any spark. He thinks its the relay. I don't know what to think anymore. It's been sitting there since March. __________________ McLaren F1 - BMW M Power S70/2 | | | 10-13-2011, 12:53 AM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Just spark or fuel and spark? Rain shouldnt hurt anything as long as the engine bay wasnt open to retain water. I hope he installed your engine and sensors correctly for you, as it sucks hunting for small "this and that" parts that dont solve your issues. Ill see if i have an extra relay in my other car before the truck comes tomorrow. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 10-13-2011, 02:16 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma Just spark or fuel and spark?
