You can run 8" wide without issue, even lowered, depending on your offset. I'm running BBS RKs 17x8 with 225/45/17 tires and I'm not rubbing. I originally was running 235/45/17 tires and didn't have any problems with those either.

The only time I've experienced rubbing is when I have to turn the wheels while going up and incline, with a passenger in the car. But that has to do more with the drop that I have up front (slightly less than a 1-finger gap between the tire and wheel well).

But overall, an 8" wheel with the proper offset can fit all around.

I have Hartge 18x8.5 with a 40mm offset riding on 225/40/18 Dunlops. There is steering limiter on the rack and the rear arches (fender lips) were rolled and machined at least a half inch. So, like I said I'd like to see you fit those 19x8.5 with 245/30/19s in the rear without modifications.

BTW, we are here to discuss and steer other ti enthusiasts in the right direction, please if you are not sure of what you are writing don't write it.

Also, city bought his car from a guy in Jersey. I met the original owner and the rear arches were modified to fit the 19s!

Cheers,
Hello, while browsing the Internet I came across this discussing, and what I have to say is that 245/30/19s will fit on a 19X8.5 without modification on the rear. I personally have Dunlop’s 245/30/19s on a 19X9 on the rear and I had to do minor mods!!

I will say that spinners look horrible on cars especially on BMW's(CHEESY), now on SUV's Like the Cadillac,Yukon Denali, Hummers etc. I will say it looks awsome, please do not put spinners!!! in reference to 19" rims I have a set on my car(staggered look) that I will be selling the specs are Rear 19 X 9 Front 19 X 8.5. they fit my car perfect, if anyone would like pictures please email me at ednpc@aol.com!!

Heres a question/Idea.... Its somewhat hard finding 19"s that will fit our 318ti allegedly, due to the width. What if we buy the fender flares, pop rivet, mold them in, then cut the original fender that is underneath the flares. Im not sure how much it is to have our fender machine rolled, but if its just a matter of hammering up that little lip, I can handle that =x Just an idea that popped into my head when running through ebay!
