LOL!!! Sorry I know its horrible, but i couldn't help but laugh, *knock on wood!* -> for myself. But having someone experience the "typical" weakness in person is ironic when we where talking about the other parts that might need help. I just went with the bimmerworld fan delete/electric SPAL fan kit.

I am sure if you had the same power as the e46 m3 in the ti, the rear would hang out more too

I think also many people do not take into account that in comparison to the z3 and e30 at least the 318ti has more of a wheel base, not sure about the other trailing arm BMW's, but I don't doubt that also helps keep it steady. I have enjoyed many many hours in the canyon with my ti when I used to drive it spiritedly often and it was always great controllable fun.

---------------------------------------------
I went with a Mishimoto radiator because I got lucky and found one for cheap (new too! and my car isn't tracked) but have you thought about the z3 s54 "three row" radiator? Seems like it has some more cooling capacity.

The humor and irony weren't lost on me, either!

I did research the Z3M one, but think I'll pass on the plastic tanks even though the core is good. The one I just pulled out WAS all aluminum, but it looks like a no-name eBay special. I'll go to at least a Mishi or one of the other upgrade from ECS/Bimmerworld/Turner/ whatever. SPAL is what I want for a fan, too.

I have a S54 pickup and still get oil starvation on fast left handers.
Smoothing my line actually helped.

I think I may have a bearing problem that is causing the oil starvation.
I haven't been on track for a couple years so I'm no longer concerned.
Sometimes when it's very hot and I'm at idle I get low oil pressure.

I know the internet is full of people securing the oil pump nut.
My mechanic claims he has never seem a nut come off but will happily take people's money.

I think the ti shines on short technical tracks.

That's kinda funny; when the fuel starting getting me at half tank and I didn't want to quit a session, I'd adjust my line and "zig zag" a bit through the long, right-hand Turn 17. It helped!

The oil is of course more troubling, though.

Good point. I'm using similar logic with my Ford XR brakes.

In my case, I ended up with M3 brakes all around and the bias is perfect (as you'd expect). The car is 100s of pounds lighter than the M, too (I'll be weighing it shortly to know for sure).
