Seems silly to put in heavy electric seats, although I always wanted a set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-3...spagenameZWDVW __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 09-08-2008, 01:47 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Philadelphia Posts: 170 | still one verry clean car! | | | 09-08-2008, 01:54 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | It is nice. I really can't find much to fault. Doesn't mention the diff and transmission, does it? I still don't understand why people use those Hot Air Intakes. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 09-08-2008, 01:58 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti I still don't understand why people use those Hot Air Intakes. | huh? looks to me like it has an airbox | | | 09-08-2008, 02:27 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak huh? looks to me like it has an airbox | Damn 70s! This car is apparently back up for auction, and I am seriously interested in it, but I am located in NJ and it's very difficult to view and drive the car prior to bidding. What are some things to watch out for in a 318ti? Does anyone know anything about this specific car? Anyone seen or driven it? Can anyone vouch for German Motor Werks? What is a fair price for something like this? How would u go about completing an out of state transaction? Any help is greatly appreciated. It makes me suspicious about the quality of the work that was done on the swap. | | | 10-15-2008, 01:39 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Yeah...the E36 M3 doesn't have a 6spd, at least not in the US. To do a Euro 6spd swap costs close to $5000. So I'm not really sure why you would be suspicious of the work if it's a US S52. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-15-2008, 03:36 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | doesn't matter now, the car was sold | | | 10-15-2008, 07:02 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri Yeah...the E36 M3 doesn't have a 6spd, at least not in the US. Has anyone dealt directly with German Motor Werks or have seen this car?
