I just posted 4 images and they are displayed at such a huge size that it just makes the thread look yukky. since you can look at the image in full view when clicked, 100x100 is not that bad. | | | 01-01-2006, 10:30 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | You can post your pictures smaller too suit your needs. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 01-01-2006, 10:47 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bill Strong I suggest that the image size be changed to something like 100x100. this will allow the thread to stay uniform in it's view. But there is also a problem when someone links an image remotely. There is no controlling that size. There are times when the image needs to be larger than 100 pixels. I forget where it is.. found it... admincp vboptions Message Attachment Options Quote: Thumbnail Size Enter positive integer number. Thumbnails will be constrained to a height and width no larger than this number. If you are changing this value and have existing image attachments on your forums, you will need to rebuild your thumbnails to update those existing attachments. | | | | 01-01-2006, 11:19 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bill Strong found it... admincp vboptions Message Attachment Options | Happy now? How to attach a thumbnail image to my posting and then come up with a larger picture when you click the thumbnail. I try using the "insert image" button but then it requires:"Please enter the URL of your image" A lot of postings are with attached thumbnail pictures and you can click those images to see larger pictures. Can you show me how to do it? __________________ 1998 BMW 318ti M-Tech Sport Silver (Gone to member leeko617) CURRENT: 2015 BMW X1, 2004 BMW 330ci Convertible, 1998 Porsche Boxster, 2001 BMW 525i Touring GONE: 2000 Audi A4, 2002 VW Passat, 1985 VW Cabriolet | | | 04-17-2006, 01:02 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by michaelhofastcar Sorry that I am very tech-ignorant. Can you show me how to do it? | You can attached a photo by 3 methods. Manage Attachments The preferable way is Upload File from your Computer or Upload File from an URL. Another way is use the insert image button but that can throw the window size off which you are trying to do. Please enter the URL of your image is looking for the remote location. For instance someone may want to post a picture from another website, like photobucket. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
