if u are so worried, put 91 in =p

your car will correct itself, its pretty smart. since your motor will run smoother with 91, then pay the extra. 89 is the min the car should have really, btu it can take 87

The Dinan software is made to rewrite the engine code in order to get the most performance your engine can offer, They create the chip to take advantage of using 91 to 93, using 87 you will starve the engine of the technology and I have heard in some cases getting worse performace than no chip and worse mileage. But if you want the performance offered by the Dinan chip its almost necessary to use 91++. Sorry this is hard for me to explain if it doesnt make sense, some else help me out.

I would absolutly listen to them, the guys are Dinan are experts!

I get better fuel consumption and a fast `off the mark` performance in my 2003 M46.
Ive only had the car for 6 days now .

well, after my tank of 87... i've noticed my mileage is significantly less... probably 3-5 mpg lower than i got on the 89 tank.

so, it might be a trade off... 87 is cheaper, but it uses more. hrm.
