Think I will look stupid. The car is fairly low already . | | | 03-02-2010, 02:38 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Columbia MD Posts: 215 | They will bolt onto your hubs. However the offset for 5 series is different than the offset for 3 series. They will very likely rub, and that is not a good thing. __________________ *Except 318ti '97 318ti M-Sport '95 M3 BMWCCA | | | 03-02-2010, 03:17 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: ottawa Posts: 55 | is this something a fender rolling will fix or should I just forget it and look for another style . | | | 03-02-2010, 04:11 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Sounds like it is a staggered set 17x8 in the front, 17x9 in the back. I know people have been able to run 17x8s all the way around with a 205 or 215 tire and rolling the fenders, not sure about the 17x9s though. This guy is running 18x8f and 18x9r, he doesn't look completely slammed though. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 03-02-2010, 06:44 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Columbia MD Posts: 215 | Quote: Originally Posted by blkonblk is this something a fender rolling will fix or should I just forget it and look for another style . | Fender rolling may fix it. You might have to be patient, as it's possible that one rolling may/may not do it. Wheels between 3s and 5s were not made to be interchangeable. If you really want those wheels and you're ok with the fact that you may have to make some adjustments to the bodywork/suspension to get them to work, then you probably can make them fit. If you just want a new set of cool looking wheels, personally I'd keep looking. Anything made for the E36 (and most made for the E46) should fit with no adjustments or trouble on the ti. Other than that, be prepared to deal with some hassle. __________________ *Except 318ti '97 318ti M-Sport '95 M3 BMWCCA | | | 03-02-2010, 08:50 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | Quote: Originally Posted by MPWR Fender rolling may fix it.
