Default newby - help broken door lock!

hi guys,

I'm new here, i've been a regular over on www.e36coupe.co.uk and e30zone.co.uk for some time, however I've recently just bought an e36 compact 318ti Lux for my wife.

The car in question is a 1996 and has an occasional problem where the drivers door unlocks itself over night in addition to some other crazy things;
- once locked using keyless entry system, it wont open again unless you put the key in the door and use that instead (the passenger side works fine)
- occasionally you cant adjust the mirrors from the drivers door switch.
- as mentioned, i came out this morning and the drivers door was unlocked, however all the other door and boot were fine.

this sounds like a loose connection, but i thought i'd ask for some advise and see whether anyone else has had similar problems.

p.s - the car is a UK car - so right hand drive.
