Why 18-22psi? Can you share some additional details about your project? Scope? Budget? Goals? __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 12-27-2006, 12:57 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 885 | I think twin turbo is alot of $$$ spend, i think with one supercherger or one turgo you get the maximun power of the m44, with the money you need to do that is better put a 6cyl. supercharger.... my opinion... __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 12-27-2006, 03:58 AM | #4 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Why not just drop a V-10 in there and screw the 2 turbos or s/c's? __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-27-2006, 05:13 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Fort Collins, CO Posts: 1,305 | i saw a long time ago in some magazine they stuck a 750 or 850's v12 in a compact...it was kind of cool | | | 12-27-2006, 03:42 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Quote: Originally Posted by PettitWC i saw a long time ago in some magazine they stuck a 750 or 850's v12 in a compact...it was kind of cool | I saw that too....the rear wheels were like 12" wide....and it was a very nice car and well thought out. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 12-27-2006, 04:02 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | Quote: Originally Posted by PettitWC i saw a long time ago in some magazine they stuck a 750 or 850's v12 in a compact...it was kind of cool | it's from london, silver one wasnt it, there are some videos of it floating around on the web somewhere. | | | 12-27-2006, 04:23 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Racing Dynamics K55 Hurricane. More of a novelty than anything else really.. For all the work and money it only had a little over 400hp, but had almost the same amount of torque... Probably easier and lighter to go with a euro 3.2 with a low amount of boost. Much cheaper, and the same amount of power... Most people would think you were a ricer for sticking a V12 badge on a Ti.. Atleast until you blew them away or they looked under the hood.. | | | 12-27-2006, 04:56 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Fort Collins, CO Posts: 1,305 | man I would never stick a v12 badge on it though. I'd try to throw some forced induction into it too | | | 01-04-2007, 02:36 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: MN Posts: 155 | Quote: Originally Posted by ProjectTi ok i have an 97bmw 318ti, i am totally rebuilding it.. i want to run an twin turbocharged engine on the M44 which could run 18-22psi my main question is can i turbo charge the car? if so where can i get all the parts and what would i need? also what the max boost i could run? if its not possible to run turbo, could i run a tiwn supercharged? if so how much boost? | really? I would get an m42 and work for there since it's got forged internals already which the m44 lacks | | | 01-25-2007, 01:56 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Ireland Posts: 382 | a single turbo will work better and you'll need a lot of internal engine work as broke drift says...... its a custom job too so you better be good or be loaded... | | | 02-09-2007, 01:36 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Louisiana Posts: 1,093 | well can u post a list of internal work needed to be done __________________ was the 1 an only Bagged Ti on 19's!! | | | 02-09-2007, 11:00 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Ireland Posts: 382 | stuff like pistons, con rods, head gasket, head bolts that wud be main stuff anyway.... __________________ ............................. ..........1999 318iS Coupe..........
