I want to do a drive at some point, but don't know when is a good time or day or where. We could probably do the drive Sunday afternoon after the tour at Stranahan's. I just need to make sure I'm on the road headed home by 3-4pm at the latest. Just remembered there's a time zone change, and I'd like to be home by 2am at the latest so I can go to work Monday morning. Also, remember that we want to do a small whiskey tasting at someone's place Saturday night. Depending on how many people want to do that, figure 1-2 hours. I'll bring some glasses with me so nobody needs to worry about having enough of those (got about a dozen or so small brandy snifters). Someone said to start a new thread, so here she is. While we are whiskey tasting we can play some cards or something. I have a poker set with cards and chips if you want me to bring it let me know. There's also small euro meets every saturday we can go to that too. We are going tomrrow to see how it is. We could do a drive or something on sunday morning like 10 or something. So whos place are we meeting at? | | | 05-03-2008, 03:25 AM | #3 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | boulder canyon or left hand ... or both (up one down the other)? could do the drive on saturday afternoon and then go to my house if that's what people want to do. justin, do you have a place to stay yet? __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-03-2008, 03:28 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Well i could try to get the day off since justin is coming a long ways. Doesn't matter if we do a drive Saturday or Sunday, but just remember I need to be on the road hopefully no later than 4pm or so Sunday afternoon. And I'm definately game for some Texas Hold'em. Haven't played face-to-face with people for a while. No place to stay yet, but I know you offered your spare room. If I can get out of work by 5pm I should be able to make it out there by midnight or so (time zone change included). That won't be too late will it? You can either shoot me a PM/e-mail or I will later. Need to go get some sleep now as I've been up for about 26 hours now (yesterday was my work both jobs day). Sounds good. I'll still need to find something to do Saturday afternoon. Got a week to figure that out. Probably best to do the drive Sunday, and after the Stranahans tour would work. Leaving Stranahans, out to Boulder, Boulder Canyon to 72 to St. Vrain to Eric's in Mead would be about three hours. Depending on how long the tour at Stranahan's takes, that would be about perfect timing then I could leave for home shortly afterwards. Justin | | | 05-15-2008, 11:32 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 737 | Dave mentioned that Clay was going to make this. Is that for Saturday, Sunday, or both? Going to e-mail Jake back sometime tonight or tomorrow morning with final headcount (I believe Chris said he won't be able to do the tour now). Also going to find out if they have anything for sale, in case anyone wants to buy a bottle afterwards. Washing the car this afternoon. Also need to sit down and figure out exactly which bottles I'm bringing. We will be having some Stranahan's. Eric, do I need to find something to do Saturday afternoon or are you off work? And do we want to do the weekly Euro meet on Saturday night (how long does it normally last)? We need to keep 1 hour or so free to taste whiskey that night and leave time for people to get home. Also need to figure out where and when to meetup Sunday. I'll let you guys figure that out tomorrow night while I'm on the road.
