Default Hood left open in the rain

I had a good experience on Monday morning; I was at my brother’s house 2 days before and left my hood open over night. I drove the 180 miles home with no problems I woke up the next day and the car was misfiring. The engine light wasn’t coming on so I immediately checked the plug wires. Some how the number 3 plug was completely submerged in rain water. I rolled up some paper towels and soak up all the water in the #3 spark plug canal. The car started and ran fine, next time I will make sure to leave the sunroof open during a rain storm and see what kind of problems I can cause myself.
