I guess since the outside ring isn't very think it has that effect. | | | 04-08-2005, 03:43 PM | #4 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Yeah i love those rims, hope to buy some b4 the end of spring. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 04-08-2005, 03:44 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Garden City, NY/Daytona Beach, FL Posts: 228 | Those wheels looks sick, they're one of my favorites on the ti... Are those the ones that the Understeer.com Ti has? I think they are. If I didn't get such an amazing deal on my 17s I may have went with those. I bought them on a Wednesday at noon and had them at my door at noon on Friday. They are 17x8 with 225/45/17 Kumho Supra 712's. I really like the tires so far, not sure how they will be in the rain. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 04-08-2005, 04:54 PM | #9 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | That must've just got added in the past month, last time i looked they only had 18" thats why i was looking at tireracks site. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 04-08-2005, 06:16 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: PORTSMOUTH, VA Posts: 3 | DASC with the A/T Reading the email thread; I am assuming that you are currently running DASC with an automatic transmission. I am curious how the DASC and A/T combination performs. Any idea what the 0-60 time might be? Are there any dirveability problems? I find that my A/T occasionally shifts hard, particularly if I have the selector in A 3: the sport mode. In your opinion, will the A/T have normal reliability and service life with DASC? Thanks in advance for any opinions/ recommendations. | | | 04-08-2005, 06:24 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Garden City, NY/Daytona Beach, FL Posts: 228 | Quote: Originally Posted by Tyler As far as i know Understeer.com doesn't sell those in 17" only 18",best place to get them is Tirerack.com there like $180 per wheel. | Well I'm not in the market now, I've got my 17'' motorsports... But the Understeer Ti has rims just like those, they are probably 18s though. I didn't even realize they sold the wheels, I just went on their site looking for Stromung. __________________ --------------------------------------- '97 Hellrot 318ti - Active, 5 speed 17'' BMW Motorsport Wheels ACS-"Style" (E-Bay, haha) Racing Pedals M Frontspoiler (OEM) Alpine CDA 9827 MP3/CD Head Unit Alpine E12 Subwoofer (now stolen) Audiobahn A4002T Amp (also now stolen) Dented driver side fender (provided courtesy of blind 80 year old woman) Keyed passenger door (provided by someone who likes to key red cars) Soon to come (now that I've graduated and have a real job) S52 Engine Swap!!! Thanks in advance for any opinions/ recommendations. | Yes, you assume correct. The automatic trans and the DASC combo is great. No issues with the auto so far(15k miles). I let the car shift at redline at full boost with no problems. It is suprisingly smooth. Lots of power when you want it, but drives normal when you don't. Don't hesitate to install the supercharger if you have an auto. I will do a auto to manual swap write up when I am done with mine, so everyone else can do it. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 04-08-2005, 07:59 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Lake George, NY Posts: 338 | damn i wish i went with the darker color | | | 04-27-2005, 02:49 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Columbia, SC Posts: 528 | I just got the exact same wheel.
