This ended up in my driveway tonight (don't worry... just borrowing it). Damn, every time I drive something "new" it gives me that new car bug. Everything about it is just so nice. __________________ 1997 318ti Sport, Alaska Blue w/ Black & Grey Interior, | | | 06-04-2005, 03:01 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | The new E90, wow, must be nice to have it for a while. Just read the Drivers Log in Autoweek and all four people that drove it commented on how well balanced the car is, the power, and how smoothly it shifted. The one they tested was the 330i. Is the one you have a 325i or 330i? | | | 06-04-2005, 03:03 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Pismo Beach, CA Posts: 500 | Its no E30, but its not too shabby lol __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 06-04-2005, 03:11 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Warwick, RI Posts: 26 | Quote: Originally Posted by mickd The new E90, wow, must be nice to have it for a while. I've had my fair share of experience with several 3-series. I've had an E30 and E36, and my parents currently have an E46. I've seen the evolution of these cars over time. I think that BMW has done an amazing job with the entire car-- plenty of power (lots of low-end torque, too), handles very well, feels lighter and more manueverable, great brakes, etc. My parents will likely be replacing their E46 in a few months with an E90. After driving this one, I think that sooner or later I'll have one, too. I'll probably hold off until next year, though. __________________ 1997 318ti Sport, Alaska Blue w/ Black & Grey Interior, | | | 06-04-2005, 03:26 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | Nice, a 330i sport package 6 speed. Must be nice to drive, all 255HP. And I used to think the E36 M3 was great at 240HP. The article in Autoweek said what great mileage they got, quoting Mandel "This 3 delivered awesome fuel economy, and at significant highway speeds. I averaged 30.8 mpg from Pittsburgh to Detroit, a drive I did in little more than four hours and three pit stops. Thats sweet, especially for an inline six" | | | 06-04-2005, 05:27 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Vancouver, B.C. Canada Posts: 465 | lucky bastard!!! The e90 design is really growing on me, the more i see it the more i feel that my car looks old & obsolete __________________ | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
