I'd be cautious of melting the plastic standoff supports that hold metal conductors. I found the screw method with a wire tie to work quite well. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-17-2003, 06:57 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Littleton, CO Posts: 190 | you are very right if you don't know howto solder then you should find someone who does, because if you heat the metal up to much you can melt the plastic. But if you knowwhat you are doing then there is no danger __________________ Custom Cold Air Intake, Custom IAT controller, SuperSprint Exhaust, High Flow CAT, Long Tube Header, H&R 'Race' Lowering springs, Short Shifter, JB Racing Lightweight Flywheel, M3 Clutch Kit w/Rogue Semi-Metalic Disk, Zex Nitrous System, Euro Clear Corners, Elipsoid Headlights w/Halos, Eyebrows, Window Tinting, Invisible Bra | | | 07-18-2003, 06:38 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Panama City, Panama Posts: 122 | You know, it's funny, I always told myself "since i don't have rear fog lights i outta double up the brake lights". Has anyone seen their own ass when driving lately? :P It's weird, i had a burned out bulb and I was having one of my friends press on the brake pedal and lo and behold, it's already doubled up. Any ideas? I'm the only owner of the car... __________________ 1996 Hellrot 318ti - RIP | | | 05-29-2022, 11:44 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: The Atomic City Posts: 318 | We performed this on my son's 1997 328ti and we now are going to do the same on his 1996 318ti. __________________ | | | 06-03-2022, 06:48 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Thread is almost 20 years old. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 11-03-2022, 03:47 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: The Atomic City Posts: 318 | ...and still useful! __________________ | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
