Default 96 TI 5 speed won't crank

I have almost 280k miles.
All of a sudden it will not crank.
What I noticed was the clock and computer were off, the fuel gauge was dead and the temp gauge was not working.
Checking fuses, I found fuse 45 and 46 were blown.
Replaced fuses and it started,
Then while driving the clock, fuel gauge, temp gauge and cruise control went dead. Fuses 46 blew again.

Any ideas where to look before I scratch my head tracing for shorts.
Thanks.

Default

Found the problem.
Fuse 46 supplies the EWS, ABS, clock, cruise control, instruments, brake lights, etc.
I had a short in the rear brake lights.

Car is back on the road.
