This is weird... suggestions appreciated. Well, my car finally drives great again, but i was at my uncle's shop helping him with my crinkled quarterpanel, and we noticed that the driver's side wheel is out about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch further than the other one. Like, if you look from behind the car, you can see more of the left tire than the right. The left sticks out an inch, and the right sticks out about a half an inch. There were problems with the *&^hole mechanic... he said something about not being able to fit the rotor on or some bullcrap, truth be told he was just too lazy to take the whole rotor/hub/bearing assembly apart. I measured, with a tape measurer, the distance from the rotor to the rim, and it is in fact about 1/4 inch wider on the driver's side. Are there more than one type of rotor for the TI? I thought they'd all at least have uniformity. I mean, the car drives straight and all, but you can see the wheel bowing slightly because of the 1/4 inch that it's off. It'll eventually eat my tire, and I don't want that. I'll take a few pics tomorrow in the daylight. I'm seriously thinking of sueing this mechanic. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
