Default Feels Awesome

I finally installed my Blistein Sport shocks and Bavarian Autosport lowering springs this sunday. Now the car feels and looks awesome. It handles so much better compared to stock. It makes my dreadful 2 hour commute from home to work a little more bearable.

How much did you lower it? Did you install it yourself?

Its lowered about 1.25-1.5 all around. I installed the shocks and springs with my dad. It took about 4 hours and we did the brake rotors and pads too.

Thumbs up Awesome Mod

Nice job! I have the same set up and I love it. The handling is awesome and I get lots of compliments as how my car looks as well. Good choice!

What would you say the lowering project cost you? I'd like to do the same. Thanks.

does anyone know the ride height of the M technic sport suspension that came stock with some cars? if i were to do what myBlueti did, idk if i'd want to go much lower.....it'd be great on the coast--highway 1
but the streets of san Francisco are really f00ked up.....so bad that even my out of town friends ask me about it. (i/e i need some clearance)

I think the M-technic suspension setup only drops your car about a 0.5"-1.0". The BavAuto/Bilstein Sport setup will drop you about 1.5" after it settles.

As bad as the streets are in SF, I've been able to manage (and I have the BavAuto/Bilstein setup). It's just some of the areas that they're constantly doing work on, like Mission St. in the SOMA area. That'll rattle you, even at 30 mph. But clearance isn't as much of a problem as ride comfort is.

I bought lowering caps for my front suspension. I plan on installing them soon. Was this a straightforward job? I bought a really nice clamshell spring compressor, to reduce my anxiety.
