My schedule is 6-10 mon - friday (pm). Im currently not going to winter session*college*. Since im not going to winter session, i go to sleep at 7am, wake up at 4pm, and go to work. So im asleep all through the morning. I want to get my BS in Aeronautics and i want to be a test pilot. When i get my BS, i MIGHT go to the air force *pilot*. But thats if im single ill go, if im still with my girl, then im not going. To aceyx - Tinting isnt illegal as long as the driver side isnt to dark. All windows can be really black *as my 2 back windows and the big back one are, cant see through them, really hard to do so, gotta really concetrate ur eyes to see through* but the drivers window cant be tinted really dark, just some what tinted. The thing now is, since the back window is tinted, when i was reversing, i had a hard time looking back which sucks. When im driving, i could barely see the cars behind me. In the night, all i see the light beams, i could barely see the shape of the car. Another thing is, when i look at my blind spot threw the small back windows, kinda hard to see the cars. Good thing is i got 20/20 vision so it really isnt that much of a problem for me. | | | 01-12-2006, 01:15 PM | #62 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996Bmw318TI To Dusten - I work as a sorter. I thought of joining the navy for a while, but then decided it wasn't for me and went straight to college. Here in NC the law says you can't have anything less than 20% on the rear and 35% on the front sides, windshield obviously can't be tinted. | | | 01-12-2006, 03:16 PM | #63 | doesn't care about you. She probably won't last, your career/education is forever. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 01-12-2006, 04:51 PM | #64 | Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Jamaica Posts: 62 | I get the feeling she isn't supportive of your dreams. Does she have positive qualities? Sounds like a funny question until you answer it. More times women are one thing when you meet them but turn out to be something completely different and at that point it's to late for you. Your hooked. Advice: Two things to worry about in life...A good woman and stabilty. Diplomas and money are very attractive to women. You won't have a problem finding a good quality woman to take care of after you achieve your dream. My opinion is sound but extremly difficult to follow when feelings are involved and you sound like a sucker. Hey, most of us are suckers when it comes to women and the heart. Do the right thing and maybe she will stay with you. If she doesn't then you know that she won't be able to honor the vows for better or for worse. Only few women can. I've been with many and only seen 2 with mariage potential. I want to be a pilot, in order to be a pilot in the AF, i need to get a bachelors degree first. If i just join in like that, it will take years and years to be able to fly planes. If i get my BS and join, ill fly right away as long as i qualify. To thekinwc - Listen, you dont know sh*t about my life or my ladies. My lady supports me just as much as a mom supports their kids. MY LADY IS NOT!! holding me back, she just doesnt want me going to the air force. Just like any other parent not wanting their kid going to armed forces *why, chances of being killed.* ITS STILL MY desicion whether i will join or not. I probably wont join cuz i dont feel like commiting 10 yrs into the AF. I want to have my kids in the mid 20s, not late 30s. You know how i know that my girl really is commited with me, she is willing to move out with me. Ok not just an apartment, i plan on moving to Arizona next year. For her, its a large step to leave the state just to go with me to Arizona. She has already told me wherever i go, she will come with me. Any other girl would tell me screw u im stayin here. She wants me to be a pilot, just not going to the armed forces. So is she no where between my dreams. There is no need for her to go to Arizona but shes gonna go cuz im going. So hows that getting between my dreams. And about my stereo system, u just saying it sucks cuz u mad i didnt pay you money to make me those fiber glass sub holder. My cousin is a huge music fan *as in stereo and system wies* and suprisingly to me he says he likes it. Hes picky on systems. To Dusten - Dont worry bro, i aint letting no girl get in between my dreams. Luckly, my girl supports me very much so she isnt in my way at all. And so far, ive been with her a year 3 months. She has never demostrated to me that she will be in my way. PS. Im getting server busy, try again later lately. | LTR = Long Term Relationship = 3 months __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 01-14-2006, 08:59 AM | #72 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | he said hed been with her a year and 3 months... as for air force...ROTC is the way to go if you want to be a pilot...if you had good grades in high school, you can get a scholarship...i had a 4 year full ride to any in state university of my choice...but i didnt medically qualify because im allergic to cats. only 10 percent of the air force flies...2 percent ar epilots, 8 percent are navigators...the rest is on the ground helping flyers...so it is VERY tough to be an air force pilot. if you didnt have good grades in high school, you can do ROTC freshman year non-scholarship...and if your first year grades are good you can get a scholarshipo for the next 3 years...ROTC definently is a great way to get hooked up to be an officer. just remember...on top of basic training and school...you have to go to pilot school...and you are committed to the air force for 8 years, as opposed to only 4 with a non pilot school requiring position. thats my rambling on the air force...i knew i couldnt be a pilot cause i have contacts...but i still wanted to be part of it...but the department of defense medical examination review board wouldnt clear me because of allergies. it sucks...i applied for waiver upon waivers and got a second opinion from another allergist and asthma specialist showing i have above average lung function and i would be able to perform in the air force...but to no avail....i think i got 8 different rejection letters before i gave up but last semester...me and my suite mates were up late listening to loud music and playing video games, skateboaridng in the hall and chillin and having a good time...and some dude walks up stairs from 3 floors down...half asleep...and hes like "im sorry dude...i dont want to be a dick or anything....but im in air force rotc...i have to get up at 5:30 am for physical training....could you guys be quiet...cause im in the air force ya know...ya know im in air force rotc...did i mention im in air force rotc?!' made me realize my school life would be SOOO much different if i had been in the air force rotc program...but i still kinda wished i got accepted. __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | 01-14-2006, 11:10 AM | #73 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | To Dusten - Not 3 months bro. 1 year + 3 months. And to that, i knew her for 4 years. To Rob - Yea i herd air force doesnt really fly. So in that case id go to the Navy instead. Idk, my dream is to 1 day fly a stealth bomber. But i decided to just be Test Pilot, maybe get hired by the govt. and be able to fly those jets without actually being signed up, that would be the best thing that could happen to me. Either way, im going to fly some how *i flew once already* but as a job. BTW - My cousin is lagging it with the pics.
