Have an extremely clean 96 Mspec with only 56K miles that i use as a Sunday driver and for track days. I have been considering somethin with a little more go, like an M coupe or Z3 Coupe. But am also considering the DASC. Right now I am strongly considering the DASC. I like what SEAM is doing, but am not really up for spending more money than DASC. I also like the streetability and durability that DASC brings. My biggest concern with @ 200 RWHP is getting it to hook up without an LSD. So more than 200 is not so important to me. So is the DASC still a go or not. What is the time line and who is heading it up. Likin the idea of a TI sleeper | | | 02-26-2006, 07:34 PM | #48 | doesn't care about you. We had 19 people commit to buy software but when the time came to actually make the purchase, only 3 people stepped forward. When I purchased my DASC, I paid full price and had it within 1 week. Sometimes you have to pay full price, especially if you don't want to screw around with people who just make excuses when it's time to pay. BTW - The DASC sounds perfect for you. It looks like it's factory installed and the extra power is perfect. $3k isn't a bad price for a 40% power increase that lasts as long as the car does, with no maintenance. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 02-26-2006, 11:48 PM | #49 | Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Phoenix Posts: 41 | Thanks I may just do that. Curious how you like yours and how do you use your car. Any suggestions to go along with the DASC. Is an LSD really important with the DASC, if so which one and which final drive.? How about the clutch? I have never driven or spoken to anyone who actually owns a TI with the DASC so I really apprecaite your feedback. I did a tranny swap, so I put an LSD in right away, but it is not necessary. I use my car as a daily driver and I'll be tracking it a couple times this year. The stock clutch is fine, you don't need to change ANYTHING beside what is outlined in the instructions (an incredibly well put together instruction manual is included). Everything you need to install the kit is included. Every nut, bolt, washer, hose clamp is included. I think it even came with tocktite. Quote: Originally Posted by iammemares I may just do that. So again just shedding a little light. Thanks guys! The original site was far less than satisfactory so we are having a completely new and more user friendly site put up. Sorry for the wait but I guess you could call it growing pains! In the mean time I would be more than happy to provide you with any information and prices you may need. Looking forward to your replies! These group buys usually take a long time to organize and it can be a painful wait if you are ready now. Just my 2 cents... __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 03-20-2006, 08:42 AM | #59 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: washington Posts: 29 | cool thanks, what do you usally save on a group buy anyways. | | | 03-20-2006, 01:50 PM | #60 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Yeah WWW.KOPERFORMANCE.COM Quote: Originally Posted by ZX12R dose anyone know of anoth web site besides understeer that sells the dasc kit.just want to compare prices, cause im looking to get one soon.thanks | __________________ 1998 (July) 318ti, 5-spd OEM Armrest Blaupunkt Heidelberg CD50 CD Player/Compact Drive MP3 Player Diamond Audio 5.25" rear speakers Navman ICN 530 GPS BMWALARM.COM (with comfort settings) after market alarm system Magnecor 8.5mm wires M-Z3 Shifter/Momo Knob Burlwood Dashboard Stromung Exhaust X-brace Racing Dynamics Front Strut Bar Carbonio C.A.I. 17" Rial Rims Vader Seats/Heated/Lumbar Support M-tech Steering Wheel/Front Sway Bar/Front & Rear Bumper Depos/w 6500K Angel Eyes/6000K HIDs Clear Corners M3 Mirrors UUC Light Weight Flywheel/M5 Clutch/M3 Clutch Slave E28 3.46 LSD/Mcoupe Cover/E30 Flanges & Halfshafts UUC S.S.
