Lets see how this holds up on the sway bar

The bar seems to be made out of either a very dimples piece of stock, or it just got that corroded over time. The surface texture plus the gloss black paint has a sort of hammered/wrinkled look.

Fine by me=)

Looks good! Matches your engine bits haha I brought some of that wrinkle paint a while back but couldn't get it to come out like yours has! Is there a trick to it? Someone mentioned heat gunning it

The wrinkle paint requires a goofy technique. You start off by laying a nice heavy coat horizontally. After letting it sit for 5 minutes you spray a medium heavy coat on vertically, making sure you don't create runs. You then let that sit for 5 minutes and lay one last medium heavy coat on diagonally. It then takes a bit of time for it to cure and start to wrinkle=) The one thing that I don't really like how it turned out is the thermostat housing. It has some pretty deep wrinkles. It still matches well but I wish I would have put on less paint.

Sandblasting prior to fresh paint is top notch. Dig it

I got out to the shop after work today.

I started by installing the wheel bearing snap rings with a thin layer of anti-seize so they don't seize like my last set was

As you can see, some painting was in order.

I started by scuffing the rust and flaking spots with a scotchbrite pad. I then masked everything off.

I then sprayed them. I am really happy with the outcome.

More progress will happen tomorrow afternoon

.... why wait till tomorrow! Say it now lol.

Did you ever get the rear modified trailing arms back?

It seems like Ireland Engineering finally found a new machine shop so they have the posi lock toe/camber weld in plates available again so I have been pinching pennies for those.

Ah that sucks, I just remembered a ti drift build from a while ago:

http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=33122

If you look at the pictures of what he did with the trailing arms, that seems to be the real way to do it, its some amazing work, probably costs quite a bit.

Ahh no wonder the "Dominant Engineering" tag seemed so familiar, he was going to ask you 400 for both sides done like that right?

That seems like a good price considering the work, if I remember it correctly. That would be worth living off ramen noodles for a while, he he finished it in a timely manner that is.

Well lead the way! Unless you don't get it done by the end of summer I will probably have enough saved up to contact him and try to get it myself. It would be great to adjust the toe/camber Anyways I will stop cluttering your thread, lets wait for that update tomorrow.
